How does the Dwell + Yoto integration work?
Dwell + Yoto: Bringing Biblically Enriching Audio to Kids—Screen-Free
We’re excited to introduce our new partnership with Yoto—a screen-free audio platform made just for kids! Now, with Dwell’s integration, your family can enjoy beloved kids’ devotionals like Dwell Kids Daily on a Yoto player—no screens, no distractions, just meaningful, Bible-centered audio.
What Is Yoto?
Yoto is an award-winning audio player designed for kids ages 3–12. It plays cards—yes, physical cards—that contain kid-friendly audio content like music, stories, educational activities, and devotionals. Kids insert a card, and the audio begins to play. There are no microphones, ads, or screens—just a simple, tactile way for kids to explore and learn.
Yoto is a parent favorite because:
- It’s screen-free and safe.
- It empowers kids to listen independently.
Parents can create custom cards from their own content.
What’s the Dwell + Yoto Integration?
We’ve teamed up with Yoto to offer select Dwell Kids audio devotionals in a DIY-style format. You can now take Dwell Kids Daily and bring it to your Yoto player with just a few steps.
This means your child can listen to Bible stories and devotionals on their own time—before breakfast, during quiet time, or right before bed—all without needing a screen or app.
You will need to have an active subscription to Dwell Bible App in order for the Yoto link to work. If your subscription lapses, any previously downloaded content will be unavailable.
How Does the Integration Work?
Currently, the integration is DIY-style, meaning you’ll create a custom Yoto card using a link we provide. Here’s how to get started:
1. Get a Yoto Player
If you don’t already have one, you’ll need a Yoto Player (recommended for home use) or a Yoto Mini (great for travel).
2. Create a Yoto Account
Download the Yoto app and create an account. This is where you’ll upload or link custom audio content to a card.
3. Order Blank Yoto Cards
You can purchase blank “Make Your Own” cards directly from Yoto here.
4. Get Your Dwell Kids Yoto Link
In the Dwell app: Click on the settings gearshift in the top left hand corner of your screen. Then click on "Dwell + Yoto" and tap “Get Yoto Link” next to Dwell Kids Daily.
5. Upload to Yoto
Use the Yoto app to assign that link to Make Your Own card as a podcast. Once linked, your card is ready to play—just insert it into the Yoto player and enjoy! If you'd like to include the Dwell logo photo on your Yoto, you can download the image below!
Currently Available:
Dwell Kids Daily
Our first release is Dwell Kids Daily—a daily devotional designed to help kids engage with Scripture in meaningful and age-appropriate ways.
Each episode is short, engaging, and biblically rich—perfect for starting the day with truth and wonder.
Your link will include the 25 most recent Dwell Kids Daily's. Yoto will continually update the link with the most recent content so you will only need to create your link one time. While you can listen to the content in the absence of wi-fi, you will need to ensure you are connected to wifi in order for Yoto to update your card with the latest content.
Why This Matters
As parents ourselves, we know how important it is to fill our kids’ ears with beauty, truth, and goodness. With Yoto and Dwell together, you can now:
- Nurture faith without screens
- Encourage independence in devotional habits
Make daily Scripture listening part of your family rhythm
